USE OF LADDERS

Check out the tips you need to have before you climb.
  1. Inspect the ladder before use for faults or extensive wear.
  2. Do not use a metal ladder near a source of electricity.
  3. If using a step-ladder, do not stand on the top cap.
  4. If using an extension ladder, do not stand on the top three rungs.
  5. Wear sturdy footwear with a rubberized sole.
  6. Always rest the ladder on a solid, level surface.
  7. Ask a friend to hold the base of the ladder steady.
  8. Don't overreach.
  9. Keep the ladder away from electrical circuits.
  10. Always maintain three-point contact with the ladder. (Two feet and one hand, or two hands and one foot.)
