1. Before trimming a tree, inspect the area to identify possible power line hazards.
2. Treat all power lines as energized.
3. Do not climb, cut or touch a tree that is in contact with a power line.
4. Trees within three meters of power lines should only be trimmed or removed by qualified personnel.
5. Call Hydro Customer Service at 1.888.737.1296 if you are unsure about whether a tree can be safely trimmed or removed.
6. Hazard trees will be removed by Hydro at no cost.
